"Really enjoyed the superb views and the wildlife. Visited the fantastic beaches at Mellon Udrigle and Gruinard Bay - deserted at this time of year. Enjoyed getting up and going to watch the otters and bird life along the side of the loch before breakfast, and sitting in the conservatory watching the sky change - partricularly during the gale on Thursday! "A nice quiet spot...plenty of scenery to investigate...Firemore Beach is truly unique with its smooth, untrodden red and yellow sands - even if parts of it had ice on it as well! "what a great time we have had! It took us a couple of days to get used to the silence, we crept around crying not to spoil it! Only the hooded crows and the chickens seemed to make a sound. We walked along the road to Firemore Beach, it's not far for an afternoon stroll and the views change every ten feet.
